And this article is entirely on tips to clean your safety eyeglasses easily and in no time. Like an effective glass cleaning solution or simple water can get the job done!

1.) The inspection:

Inspecting your lenses on a regular basis for dust build-up, scratches, cracks, loose elastic bands, fading of the tints is very essential. Dirty lenses will not only reduce your vision but also lead to germ build up in the lenses thus transferring it to your eyes.

If your lenses are scratched, it means they are already vulnerable to cracks and breakage. Loose elastic headband of the safety glasses (if any) will slip off the safety eyewear from your face thus inviting injuries.

Therefore, it is crucial to fix them the moment they get noticed and down here in this article I am going to tell you all about them.

2.) Getting the lenses cleaned of dust and debris:

Lenses are the most sensitive part of the eyewear and therefore, while cleaning them you need to be that extra careful.

Step 1: Take a piece of clean cloth and dust of the debris and dust particles from the lenses.

Step 2: Use very soft bristled brushes (preferable makeup brushes or paint brushes) to clean the part of the lenses that are around the frames.

Step 3: Take a bowl of lukewarm water and dip a piece of clean cloth in it. Then using your finger tips move in gentle circular motions on the lens. This will clean all the stubborn dust on the lenses.

Step 4: Take the safety eyewear glass cleaning solution and pour it on a piece of cloth. Then again with your finger tips move in gentle circular motions. This time your lenses will be ready for a clear vision and free of germs as well.

3.) Cleaning of the frames of the safety eyewear:

Cleaning the frames is quite an easy job though. You just need a soft-bristled toothbrush to clean the areas of the frames attached to the lenses and can use a piece of lint-free cloth to clean the handles that go behind the ears. Just lukewarm water will do the job well.

4.) Cleaning the lenses of spots:

If your lenses have developed spots from debris, you can just submerge them in lukewarm water for say 30 minutes. This will soften the debris. Then you can use a clean lint free cloth and the glass cleaning solution to clear off the spot.

5.) Storing of the safety eye glasses:

After all the cleaning is done, make sure you place the eyewear in the glass case that has come along with it. You can also store the eyewear in any case that is hard from outside and has a soft (preferably microfiber) layer for wrapping the eyewear on the inside.

The hard glass case saves the eyewear from breaking accidentally in case of applied pressure and the soft layer wrapping the eyewear prevents scratches and dust build up.

5.) Next, immerse the eyewear in a solution of germicidal fungicide or disinfectant solution for glasses for 5 minutes.
