1.) Material:

Both the timberland premium line of boots and the timberland pro lone of boots are made of 100% full grain leather or Nubuck leather that speaks of its quality.

2.) Construction:

Again, there is not much difference in the construction of the boots which is seam sealed construction for both. The only difference is in the upper paneling of the boots wherein the timberland pro has reinforced paneling just above the heels of the boots for better safety as they are heavy duty work boots.

3.) Waterproofing:

Both the boots are waterproof wherein the outer seams of both the boots are sealed with latex for barrier against water.

4.) Insoles:

The insoles of the boots are what that speak about comfort. Actually, the major difference in both the boots lie in their insoles where the timberland premium line of boots has light cushioned insoles made of leather and the timberland pro line of boots have well cushioned insoles that are made of polyurethane footbed.

The insoles of the timberland pro line of boots also help with breathability and have microbial linings for odor control.

5.) Midsole support:

Now, midsole support is another very important feature that describes how comfortable the work boots are. The timberland premium line of boots has built-in anti fatigue technology in the midsole that not only provides support while standing but also absorbs shock while you walk.

The timberland pro line of boots on the other hand, have 24/7 comfort suspension system which not only supports the arch of the foot but also provides ample cushioning in order to reduce foot fatigue while standing and walking for longer hours.

6.) Outsole:

When it comes to the outsole, the timberland premium line of boots is made of commando lug outsole that provides excellent grip, but timberland pro takes the lead with its non-marking rubber outsole that is oil and slip resistant as well as EH rated.

7.) Insulation:

Though the timberland premium boots are made of higher layers of insulation that is 400 grams which provides enough warmth in the cold weather, but they are made of the Primaloft Eco insulation which is not that light in weight and often becomes a source of discomfort for the wearer.

Timberland pro boots on the other hand are made of 200 grams of Thermolite insulation which is not only light in weight as compared to the Primaloft, but also provides better warmth and breathability.

Who is the winner?

After looking at the detailed comparison of the both the lines of boots, I can clearly say that the Timberland PRO line of boots wins the game with its outstanding features of being more comfortable, more light weight, better safety, better insulation and a better traction on slippery terrains along with its EH ratings!
